WHY BUNGEE ATHLETICS?

WHY ARE YOUR CORDS THE BEST FOR VARIABLE RESISTANCE TRAINING?

The rubber we use is the highest of quality. It is a secret blend of a latex base that we have perfected over the years through rigorous tests and experiments. The cords are made of multiple strands of rubber wrapped into a tracer to hold it all together, and to prevent the overstretching of the rubber. Using multiple strands of bungee allow us to have more control of the resistance allowing consistent resistance during production. Another benefit of multi strand bungees are that it is way more durable than single band systems. If the single strand system gets damaged (scratched, nicked, sun damaged), the system has to be replaced. If a multi strand system gets damaged through the protective sheath, there are many other undamaged strands allowing the system to continue being used. The combination of rubber and sheath we use is designed to prevent damage from UV.

WHY DO YOU USE MULTIPLE BUNGEE CORDS INSTEAD OF ONE BIG ONE ?

We use multiple bungees to allow multiple different people of different sizes and skill levels to use the same kit. This is perfect for sports teams and schools. It also allows users to add more resistance instantly once they progress and get stronger. Another reason is that if one cord gets damaged, a replacement cord can be bought rather than having to buy a whole new system.

HOW MUCH RESISTANCE DO THE ASSEMBLIES HAVE?

When the large bungee cord assembly is stretched to 300%, there is 40lbs of resistance. When the small bungee cord assembly is stretched to 300%, there is 20lbs of resistance. In the kits we include 5 red cords and 1 green cord creating a total resistance of 220lbs, which is enough for the strongest of athletes. We include 1 green bungee to allow 11 different resistance levels.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SHEATH?

The sheath is there to keep the bungees held together when tension is released so they are not spread all over the floor. It also protects the bungees from abrasion and UV, which is known to rapidly decrease the strength of rubber.
